Gold Star Chili Named Official Chili of Bank of Kentucky Center
Greater Cincinnati Icon Enhances Support of Local Sports and Entertainment Events

CINCINNATI, OH – September 30, 2008 — Gold Star Chili was recently named the Official Chili of the new Bank of Kentucky Center. As the official chili sponsor, Gold Star will serve its famous chili at the Center’s concession stands during its events.

This partnership builds upon Gold Star Chili’s existing relationship as a local supporter of Greater Cincinnati sports and entertainment. Since 2000, Gold Star has been the Official Chili of the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2007, Gold Star Chili was the official chili of the Pringles Smart Flavors 2007 AVP Cincinnati Open.

“Gold Star is thrilled to become the Official Chili of the Bank of Kentucky Center, Greater Cincinnati’s newest entertainment destination,” said Mike Rohrkemper, CEO of Gold Star Chili. “Partnering with the Center further enhances Gold Star’s relationship with the community and gives both local and visiting attendees the chance to experience a Cincinnati tradition.”

ABOUT GOLD STAR CHILI
Gold Star Chili, the official chili of the Cincinnati Bengals, was established in 1965 when the four Daoud brothers were embarking on a journey that would soon embody the Great American Dream of owning a successful business. The first Gold Star Chili was located in Mt. Washington, and it was here that the brothers settled on what has become one of Cincinnati's classic tastes, and the recipe for Cincinnati-style chili was born. To this day, the spice blend is a closely guarded secret. Gold Star now has more than 100 restaurants located throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana and operates concessions at Paul Brown Stadium, Children's Hospital, and the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
